Egide USA, Inc. is recruiting a Plating Engineer (F/M)

Position based in Cambridge, Maryland (USA)

Join our innovative engineering team and take ownership of our plating operations for high-reliability, hermetically sealed micro-electronic packaging serving aerospace, military, and commercial applications. As a Plating Engineer at Egide, you will work with cutting-edge glass-to-metal and ceramic-to-metal sealing technologies, as well as high-temperature co-fired ceramics.

Your missions:

Set up, qualify, and maintain plating equipment and processes
Create and update plating work instructions and train operators
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Maintain process control, safety, and cleanliness in plating operations
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams
Support continuous improvement projects and capital expenditure planning

Profile/Education:
Bachelor's in Chemistry or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent work experience) with minimum 5 years of plating engineering experience.
You have expertise in electrofinishing, electroless plating, passivation, and chemical processing.
Strong knowledge of chemical reactions, titrations, annealing, and waste treatment processes required.
Excellent communication skills, team collaboration abilities, and hands-on troubleshooting expertise.
Knowledge of ICP and ERP/MRP systems preferred.

Full-time position (40 hours per week)
Schedule: 6:30am-5pm Monday-Thursday

As a Process Engineer at Egide, you will work with cutting-edge glass-to-metal and ceramic-to-metal sealing technologies, as well as high-temperature co-fired ceramics.

Profile/Education: Bachelor of Science in an Engineering field (equivalent work experience may satisfy this requirement).
You are proficient with Excel, 2D CAD software, and 3D CAD software.
Prior experience in brazing and/or glass-to-metal seals is required.
Understanding of conveyor belt furnaces, brazing, machining, welding, and/or hermetic sealing is preferred.
Previous experience with ERP/MRP software is a plus.
Background in manufacturing electronics using JEDEC 9, MIL-STD-883, and/or MIL-PRF-38534 standards is preferred.
